Funeral services for Mrs. Dora Wilson McDade, 65, of 625 E Main St, Durham, NC, will be held this morning at 11o’clock at the Edgemont Baptist church. The body will be removed to the church at 10 o’clock. Interment will be in the new section of Maplewood Cemetery, Durham,NC. The Rev W Bryant Carr, pastor of the Calvary Methodist Church, will conduct the services. Pallbearers will be Joe Lipscomb, E T Murray, J T Peele, Roger Lee Tutor, Early W Mayton, H D Dickerson and J Hal Pope.
Mrs. McDade, widow of J W Mcdade, died at Watts Hospital Thursday afternoon following six weeks of critical illness. She was a native or Orange County but had been a resident of Durham for the past 37 years, where she was employed with the Golden Belt Manufacturing Co and Hillcrest Hosiery Mills for 20 years. She was a member of the Edgemont Baptist Church and the Nellie Smith Bible Class of the Sunday School. Survivors are two sons, L Hughes McDade and Arthur K McDade and two grandsons, Kenneth McDade and Kerry McDade all of Durham; three brothers John Wilson of Cedar Grove, Alec Wilson of Prospect Hill and Charlie Wilson of Bushy Fork; and several nieces and nephews.
