HILLSBOROUGH – Mrs. Ruth Hazel Wilson McDade, 86, of 1000 Timbers Dr., died Sunday, December 15, 2002. She was preceded in death by her husband, W. Wayne McDade. Mrs. McDade attended Durham city schools. She worked with her husband at Macs Television Service, the Hillsborough Lunch, and for 22 years at Dual Supply. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Phil W. McDade and wife, Becky of Uvalda, Ga., and Bill L. McDade and wife, Penny of Burlington; two daughters, Yvonne Nicholas and husband, Jim of Santa Ynez, Calif., and Beverly Day and husband, Charlie of Hillsborough; two sisters, Doris W. Poindexter of Sanford and Elizabeth W. Murphy of Aberdeen; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church by the Rev. Marcus Mims and the Rev. Dwight Savage. Burial will be in the Hillsborough Town Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Monday in Walker’s Funeral Home.
