Digital NC<\/a>, the\u00a0North Carolina Digital Heritage Center,\u00a0has announced a new round of newspapers that are slated to be digitized in 2013 and contributed to the\u00a0North Carolina Newspapers project<\/a>. Among them is Durham’s own\u00a0The\u00a0Carolina Times<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0from 1965 – 1972. Digital NC\u00a0is a statewide digitization and digital publishing program housed in the\u00a0North Carolina Collection<\/a>\u00a0at UNC-CH. They work with libraries, historical societies, genealogy societies, and archives across North Carolina to digitize and publish historic materials online in order to provide access to the materials.<\/p>\n
