Last Will and Testament In the name of God Amen. I Joseph Leeman Sr of the County of Franklin State of N Carolina, being in reasonable health and of sound mind and memory. Thanks be to God for the same ________ that it is appointed for all men once to die--to make and ordain this my last Will & Testament in manner and Form as Follows----- First of all I recommend my Soul into the lands of Almighty God who gave it and my Body to the dust to be burred in a Decent Christian like manner hoping at the general Resurrection to ______ the same into life everlasting & as to my Worldly affairs which it pleases Almighty God to _____ _____ with---- First of all my Will & desire is that all my just debts be first paid then I give & bequeath unto my Daughter Sally Ransom & Polly L Betwey Fuller, Nancy Powell & Peggy Patterson--all my property not her after to be sold after my decease & the money _____ ______ _______ to be equally divided amongst them. I give & bequeath unto my Daughter Polly Leeman, two beds, bedstead & furniture, one side saddle, one wheel and cart & one ____ wheel and one _____, one Cow ____ or the value of one. ____ ____ ____ to her & her heirs forever-----Item I give & bequeath unto my Daughter Jane Merritt five shillings to _____ her & her heirs forever-----Item I give & bequeath unto my son James Leeman Five shillings to him and his heirs forever ------ Item I give & bequeath to my Daughter Temperance Cooper Five Shillings to her and her heirs forever. Item I give & bequeath unto my Daughter Polly Leeman her life time _____ of Land bounded as follows Viz beginning at great buffalow and east course along the Stoney Ridge to little Buffalow thence up Creek to the great Stoney ridge then along the said Stoney Ridge West to great Buffalow thence down said Creek to the first station & after her death to Joseph Leeman Jr to & his heirs forever-------Item I give & bequeath to my son Joseph Leeman all my tract of Land where on I now live not heretofore Deeded to my son Wm & John Leeman after my decease & the decease of my Daughter Polly Leeman------to him and his heirs forever. Item I give to my Negro man Peter after my decease his freedom to be a freeman forever. Item I give to my Daughter Polly Leeman my Negro man Dick to serve her-her life time & after her decease to be sold & the money arising to be equally divided amongst my son Wm Leeman & Joseph Leeman & my Daughters Nancy Powell & Peggy Patterson----Lastly of all I do appoint my son Joseph Leemon & Wm Powell my whole and sole executors of this my last Will & Testament totally revoking all other Wills by me ____ ____ ____ made is ______ my hand and seal this 19th May 1814.
