Benjamin McCluney & Amanda Wade McCluney

Benjamin 'Ben' McCluney was born on March 4, 1874 in York, SC. He was the son of Jackson 'Jack' McCluney and Betsy 'Louisa' Gillmore McCluney. On June 9, 1923 at the age of 49. Ben died from pneumonia while living in Hickory Grove, SC.

Amanda 'Mandy' Wade McCluney was born sometime around 1879 in Chester, SC. She was the daughter of William 'Bill' Wade and Della Wade. On February 5, 1932 around the age of 53, Amanda died from cancer while living in Gaffney, SC.

Benjamin and Amanda were married sometime during the 1890s. They lived and became farmers in South Carolina. Though they lived fairly short lives, they became the parents of 11 children, all born between 1896-1920. Their 11 children were; Gary (Retha Boulware), Rosetta (Charles Galmer & Son Dawkins), Inez (Haskel Smarr), Claude (Frances Reid & Myrtle Phillips), Andrew (Bessie Fare), Arrie Bell (Bill McCoy), Curtis (Minnie White), Elvira (Albert Smith Sr.), Benjamin Jr. (died in 1918 at only 9 days old), Mattie Lee (James Smith Sr.) and Will (Lucinda).
