RIDDICK, L.M. (Mrs.) – (d. 1900)

The remains of Mrs. L.M. RIDDICK, postmistress of Gatesville, N.C., who died of a surgical shock in a Columbus (Ohio) hospital, arrived in Suffolk last night and were today shipped to Gatesville via Gates station for burial.  Mrs. RIDDICK had something like a tumor and went to Columbus for attention.  The operation killed her.  The deceased was the widow of the late Patrick RIDDICK, former sheriff of Gates county, and was a daughter of the late Mills EURE.  She was a sister of Mrs. William Jesse SAVAGE, Wiggins Cross Roads, N.C. and of Mrs. PARKER, Plymouth, NC. Several children survive her.
