Surveyed by Patricia Hall  in Dec. 2001 This cemetery is located on the Buckland Plantation. Buckland Plantation located five miles south of the Virginia line, in Gates County, NC (US 37 North:1/2 mile from the Buckland Elementary School.)  Actually there are two cemeteries on the Buckland Plantation: First cemetery– Approximately 26 crepe myrtle trees line the driveway leading to the mansion & each tree represents an unmarked grave of a slave.  Buckland Plantation.
