Comments on this familyfrom Martha Marble , Oct. 22, 1998:
. . . Ima [Mewborn, files of] has William Henry Cunningham and Unknown
Edwards md to Edith Gibbons, daughter of John Wesley Gibbons and Elizabeth
Hardy. Heaven only knows the proof. William and Edith are buried at Rainbow
so her maiden name might be on the stone. Have added the first name for
Edwards.
Any idea which John Sutton the other daughter married? . . . I come down
John whose will is on the Lenoir Co archives page through his daughter
who md Abraham Simmons first and then somebody Health - forgot his name.
My John, I think, had a son John about the right age, but then so did
every other Sutton at the time.
