However, there is an incomplete marriage database<\/a>\u00a0covering 1759-1979 available through Family Search<\/a>. \u00a0I do not plan to spend the time uploading a comprehensive list of marriage licenses from 1868 forward, so this is your best online resource for that time period. \u00a0You can view the images using microfilm ordered through your local library or FHL branch.<\/p>\n

\nwere required starting in 1868, but one can find marriage license forms in earlier years. These provide more information on the bridal couple and parents and other details. Be careful — a mother may actually be a stepmother. Data: groom & bride, groom’s parents, bride’s parents, date.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
