HALIFAX COUNTY MARRIAGE BONDS- O

Marriage Bonds were applied for, but signed Certificates were not always returned confirming the Marriages actually took place.  Some of these are only scraps of papers giving a couples name & a date; there are also many marriages of Freed People which took place in 1865-1867 which only contain the date the bond was issued. This collection is not yet complete, but will continue to add as time permits.
