I Daniel C McLean of Harnett County State of North Carolina being by the grace of God to whom all praise
be given of sound mind and disposing memory do make declare and publish this my last will and testament
[1] I will and bequeath unto my dear and beloved daughter Sarah Ann three hundred and eighty five acres
of woodland in U L River Township Harnett County NC on the waters of Shattocks and Hat Branches said land
was granted to myself and joins the lands belonging to the estate of my father Neill McLean decd on the
west, The lands of Alex McLean on the south, McNeill land on the North. Of my personal property I give
and bequeath unto my daughter Saran Anne my big Kettle, two chests and trunk, household and Kitchen furniture
excepting one feather bed which I give and bequeath unto my granddaughter Annie E Holder and also to Annie
one black cow named Nancy and her calf and also I give and bequeath unto my daughter Sarah Ann one big wheel
and my loom and one hog.
[2] And I give and bequeath unto my dearly beloved grandson T. P. McLean all my mechanical blacksmith and
shoe makers tools and my rifle, my cart and barouch and my grain cradle and all my sheep
[3] And I give & bequeath unto my dearly beloved granddaughter Mary Buie McDonald one hundred acres of land
on the Watery Branch joins Atkins land and J L Betheas[?] 250 acres and Malcom A McLeans 100 acres said land
was granted to myself in 1842.
4th I give and bequeath unto my beloved grandson William J McLean my double barrel shotgun.
5th I give and I bequeath unto my dearly beloved granddaughter Zilla J Holder my cloak.
I do hereby constitute and appoint John McArtan of Asheboro Creek Township Harnett County in the state of North
Carolina as the sole executor to and of this my last will and testament. May God bless and protect him.

The said Daniel C McLean at his own residence in U L River Township Harnett County North Carolina on this
the 21st day of July (1900) nineteen hundred signed and sealed this instrument as above and published and
declared this same as and for his last will, Niven Ray Jr writing his the said D. C. McLeans name at his
request and said D. C. McLean also making his mark thereto. We at his request and in his presence and in
the presence of each other have hereto written over our names as subscribing witnesses thereto.
