Highway 24 - Spout Springs, NC. From Spring Lake (outside Fort Bragg) take highway 87 (Manchester Rd.) towards Sanford. Go 4.8 miles from Spring Lake to intersection with NC24. Turn left on NC24, go 2 miles. Church & Cemetery are on the right.

The first gravestone in Cameron Hill Cemetery was for the infant son of Allen & Mary S. Cameron. The gravestone says that "the infant body was brought from Bladen County by his brother on horseback".

Six graves in this cemetery are John Maxwell's family. Graves 1 thru 4 are John, Susanna and two of their children. Three other children. Angus Clinton Maxwell (1849 - 1918). William Dougald Maxwell (1841 - ?), and John Bunyan Maxwell (1856 - 1939) grew to manhood and had families. Susanna died in childbirth of her son, John Bunyan Maxwell on Aug 5, 1856. 1.
