DARROCH OBITS
Departed this life, at his residence in this county, on the 28th ult., after a severe illness of eleven weeks, which he bore
with the characteristic fortitude of an experienced christian, Mr. Malcom Darroch, a native of the Island of Jura, in Argyleshire,
in the kingdon of North Britain, but, for upwards of half a century, a respectable citizen of this county, in the 73rd year of his age,
"Mark the perfect men, and behold the upright; for the end of that man is peace." Mr. Darroch had the happiness of enjoying the confidence,
respect, and esteem of all who knew him. He was prudent, inoffensive, and industrious man; he possessed a large fund of good sense; and,
what is more, he was pious and exemplary. In a work, he lived beloved, and died lamented.
