Donald Latimer McBryde was born April 29th 1873 in a part of Cumberland County, which later became Harnett County. He was the founder of Linden, Harnett Co., where he died Nov. 17, 1948.

The house was the home of Joseph John Rosser and his wife Mary Ann Kelly. The home has since been moved to another location -- this was the last picture taken of it at the farm. Cotton is grown on the land still today. Dr. Robert Guthrie Rosser (the youngest of the children) was born in this house. He had a medical practice in Vass, NC and was very well known throughout the area. (Photo submitted by Donna Rosser)
