Macay &amp; Davie<\/pre>\n<pre>Buncombe (Henderson) County Langford Deeds\nDeed Book 636 \u2013 637 Lat 35.212 Lon 82.441\n\nThis Indenture made the sixth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand\neight hundred and three, between Spruce Macay and William R. Davie of the County\nof Rowan in the state of No. Carolina of the one part and Eli Langford of the County\nof Buncombe and the State of No. Carolina of the other part, Witnesseth: that the\nsaid Spruce Macay and William R. Davie for and in consideration of the sum of\nTwo hundred dollars to them in hand paid by the said Eli Langford the receipt whereof\nthe said Spruce Macay and William R. Davie doth hereby acknowledge hath given\n&amp; granted, bargained and sold, aligned and confirmed and by these presents doth give\nand grant bargain and sell and confirm unto the said Eli Langford his heirs and\nassigns forever. All that tract and parcel of land situate lying and being the county\nof Buncombe, formerly Rutherford.\nBeginning at two white oaks near the Saluda path, thence South twenty-six east three\nhundred and sixty poles to a stake thence South sixty-four west one hundred and\neighty poles to a stake, thence North twenty-six west three hundred and sixty poles\nto a stake, thence to the beginning.\nBonded on the South by mountains and also all the woods, ways, waters, and water-\ncourses and all and every the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise\nappertaining and the reversion and reversions, remander and remainders rents,\nissues and profits of the aforesaid lands and premises and every part thereof, and all\nthe estate, right, title, interest claims, property and demand whatsoever of the\nS\u2019d Spruce Macay &amp; William R. Davie of in and to the land and premises hereby\ngranted. To have and to hold the aforesaid land and premises, with the appurtenances\nto the said Langford, his heirs and assigns to the proper use and behoof of the said\nEli Langford, his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Spruce Macay and William\nR. Davie for them and their heirs the aforesaid land and premises and every part thereof\nagainst their and their heirs, against the claim or claims of all and every other person\nor persons whatsoever, to the said Eli Langford, his heirs and assigns shall and will\nforever warrant and defend by these presents. Greetings\nThis indenture made and done the 5th day of December in the year of our Lord 1809 between Eli Langford of the County of Greenville &amp; State of South Carolina of the one part and John P. Corn and Adam Corn of the County of Buncombe and the State of North Carolina of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Eli Langford for and in consideration of $1000 to him in hand paid by the said John P. Corn and Adam Corn the receipt whereof the said Eli Langford doth hereby acknowledge hath given, granted, bargained, aliened &amp; confirmed and by these presents doth give grant bargain and sell alien and confirm unto the said John P. Corn and Adam Corn there heirs and assigns forever.
