Historical maps can be helpful in understanding the geographical context of your ancestors lands.   Recently added to the Albemarle County site are two new links of NC Maps featured as part of the University of Georgia’s Hargett Rare Book & Manuscript Library.

To help promote the use of these maps for other NC researchers, I’ve also added links to them from the NCGenWeb Consolidated List of NC Resources page under the maps section.  There are other maps worth exploring on the site as well!
