BLUE - On Thursday evening, the 17th of May, after a short illness of five days
Mr. M. B. Blue passed away in the 38th year of his age, at his turpentine farm
at Donovan, Ga. His remains were brought back to his native State and buried at
Sandy Grove Church, Sunday 20th. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Mr. Eldrige.
Having made peace with God he had the hope of receiving a heavenly reward. He leaves
a bereaved wife and three little children, father, mother, four sisters and five
brothers, besides many friends to mourn their loss. It is hard to give him up, but
God knows best. His little son often exclaims why did not some one else die and let
papa live?
O, how sweet it will be in that beautiful land, so free from all sorrow and pain;
With songs on our lips and with harps in our hands, to meet one another again. Brother
