At a meeting of the Board of Wardens of the Poor of St. George's Parish at Swan Quarter in Hyde County at the Court House April 13th 1857
Were present: Tilson G. Credle, Thos. S. Burrus, P.P. Spencer, Joseph Young, B.T. FulcherAn election took place of Wardens to elect two wardens to fill the place of Josiah G. Jarvis County Warden & Richard G. Howard &
were duly electedJeremiah R. Selby & Tilman Farrow were duly elected. Thos. S. Burrus was duly elected County Warden to fill the place of Josiah G. Jarvis, Dec'd.We, Tilman Farrow & Jeremiah R. Selby do swear that we will faithfully and honestly discharge our duties as wardens of the poor of Hyde County to the best of our skill & ability and according to law.

A meeting of the Board of Wardens of St. George's Parish was held the Court house in Swan Quarter April the 5th day 1858 and were present: (of the old Board) -- P.P. Spencer, T.G. Credle, J.R. Selby and (from the new Board) Jno. Benson, Tilson G. Credle, J.R. Selby, Albert Cartwright.
We, John Benson, Tilson G. Credle, Jeremiah R. Selby, Albert Cartwright & Peters P. Spencer swear that we will faithfully and honestly discharge our duties as wardens of the poor of Hyde County to the best of our skill & ability and according to law.
