According to the Hyde County Bride's Index, Cloey Howard, age 17, married Thos. Credle, age 22, on Nov. 4, 1877.  By 1880 they had one daughter, Sally age 2, who married Walter Barrow in 1899 and then Dortch Best before 1930.  By 1900 Cloey and Thomas had 10 children with only 8 living, six of them still in the home, along with a boarder.  By 1910 they had moved to Pamlico Co., NC and remained there until their deaths.  According to death certificates, Thomas Franklin Credle was born c1861 and died in 1921.  Cloe Ann (Howard) Credle was born Feb, 18, 1858 to Clinton and Cornelia Howard.  Cloe died April 20, 1955.
