The Hyde County Historic Courthouse in Swan Quarter, N.C. was built circa 1854.  It has been remodeled and annexes built several times over the years. The original bricks are said to have come from England.  It is now on the National Register of Historic Places. The top photo is as seen through the lens of Pratt Williamson, Jr. in about 1953 when he got his press camera soon after graduating from high school.  The last 2 photos are courtesy of Margie Brooks.
