Jan. 8, 1844 - Special Adm'r. Bond - Signing a bond for $1000.00 was Josiah G. Jarvis, Nasa Farrow & Mannan Carawan
Feb. 26, 1844 - Signing a bond for $5000.00 was Josiah G. Jarvis, administrator, Nasa Farrow, Wm. B. Tooley, Thos. R. Burrus and Jesse Gibbs
Feb. 1844 - Ann Dailey, widow of Jordan P. Dailey, petitions for her 1 years support
Mar. 19, 1844 - 1 years support to Ann H. Dailey in the amount of $300.00
Mar. 20, 1844 - Inventory & Acct. of Sales taken & sold by Nasa Farrow & J.G. Jarvis, admr's. Negro boy Joe was hired out to Tilson G. Credle for $10.00 for the remainder of the year. The widow got Hison for victuals & clothes and Annis & 3 children for keeping.
Feb. Term 1845 - Petition by Nasa Farrow & Josiah G. Jarvis, administrators, to sell 2 Negro boys named Joseph & Hyson, aged about 10 & 12, in order to pay debts against the estate amounting to about $600.00.
Mar. 1837 thru 1845 -- A long list of notes & accounts and slaves which mentions slave woman Annis about 40, boy David about 8, boy Abel about 5, girl Jane about 2, boy Joe about 10 and boy Hison about 8.
May 6, 1845 - Negro boys Joseph & Hyson were sold to Henry S. Gibbs for $401.50 each.
Feb. Term 1846 - Ann Dailey, widow of Jordan P. Dailey, dec'd., and Anna & James Jordan Dailey (children) by their guardian, Wm. W. Spencer, asks the court to have the admr's. settle the account of the estate since 2 years have passed and they have not received any money as tenants in common.
Feb. Term 1846 - Petition of Ann Dailey, widow of Jordan P. Dailey, deceased, states that her husband left her and 2 children, Anna & James Jordan Dailey, unprovided for and that he was possessed of a tract of land containing about 180 acres. She asks for her 1/3 dower.
June 27, 1846 - Account of the estate shows that $561.85 due the estate.
no date - James Dailey & Ann Dailey by their guardian, W.W. Spencer, states that their father, Jordan P. Dailey died sometime in Dec. 1843 and left one child about 18 months old and after his death his widow, Ann H. Dailey gave birth to another child; that nearly 4 years have passed and the mother has provided for them all this time; that compensation for board & clothing would amount to about 4.00 per month which will now amount to about $300.00.
circa 1850 - Graham M. Ballance made guardian to James & Ann Dailey [Graham M. Ballance married Anna Heggart before 1849]
Nov. Term 1853 - Petition of G.M. Ballance & wife Ann against James Dailey & Ann Dailey by their guardian ad litem W.W. Spencer, tenants in common of slaves Annice, Dave, Jane, Moses and Mary desire a division of said slaves.
March 10, 1854 - Division of slaves owned in common by Graham M. Ballance and wife Ann, and James & Ann Dailey. Annis valued at $283.00; David valued at $767.00; Jane valued at $466.00; Moses valued at $416.00 and Mary valued at $300.00. Graham & Ann Ballance received Moses & Mary with James & Ann Dailey paying $28.00. David, Annice & Jane was set off to James & Ann Dailey in common.
Nov. 13, 1855 - Nathaniel Beckwith appointed guardian to James & Ann Dailey, minors of Jordan P. Dailey, dec'd. [Graham Ballance, the former guardian, died in 1855]
