September 1, 1835 - Guardian bond for $600.00 signed by Samuel T. Douglass, guardian to Thomas D. Douglass & La Fayette Douglass.  Sureties were Israel Brooks & Oliver ONeale.

May Term 1838 - Petition of Saml. T. Douglass, Josiah H. Douglass, William S. Douglass, Anthony Douglas Morgan & his wife Louisa, Thomas D. Douglass and La Fayette Douglass, the last 2 named are minors by their guardian, Saml. T. Douglas.  Petitioners state that Thomas Douglass died about 1827 possessed of a tract of land on Chickamacomico Banks adjoining William Weatherington & James Meekins containing about 41 acres and they are desirous of having the land divided into 6 parts.  /s/ Z.W. August 7, 1838 - Commissioners Report on allotment & division of the lands attached to Thomas Douglass, dec'd.  Commissioners divided the lands into 6 parcels.  They assessed the house to be worth $250.00 and the fence or puncheons are worth $1.00 per 100.

Lot #1 Samuel T. Douglass received 6 acres & 125 poles valued at $23.50 joining James Meekins line and  the seaside
Lot #2 Josiah Douglass received 6 acres & 125 poles valued at $23.50
Lot #3 Anthony Douglass Morgan & his wife Louisa Morgan received 6 acres & 125 poles valued at $273.50, lots being where the house stood
Lot #4 William S.. Douglass received 6 acres & 125 poles valued at $23.50
Lot #5 LaFayette Douglass received 6 acres & 125 poles valued at $23.50
Lot #6 Thos. D. Douglass received 6 acres & 125 poles valued at $23.50
     In order to compensate for the differing economic values, the Commissioners ruled that Lot #3 pay the sum of $41.662/3 to Lots 1,2,4,5, & 6  The commissioners valued the fencing on said land at $6.50 to be divided equally among the 6 recipients.
