May Term 1851 - Petition of Mehettable Midyett states that some time on or about the __ of March 1851 John D. Midyett died intestate leaving her his widow and a family consisting of 3 children.  She states that Selby Spencer obtained Letters of Administration on his estate and she desires her one year's provision for she and her family.  /s/ N. [NOTE:]  John Daniel Midyett was born Dec. 30, 1814 & died Mar. 31, 1851.  He married Mehettable B. "Hettie" Spencer and they had 3 children: Long Samuel E. Midyett, Mary Eleanor Midyett, and Spencer D. Midyett.
