Aug. Term 1838 - Petition of Joshua White & his wife Celia Ann shows the court that in 1826 Thomas ONeal, the husband of Celia Ann, died intestate seized of a tract of land in Hyde County containing 26 acres adjoining Israel Brooks & John Neale and that no allotment of dower has been made to the said Celia Ann as his widow. The heirs-at-law of Thomas ONeal are infants, viz: James ONeale & Bethany ONeale and they desire the court to appoint a guardian, ad litem, in this suit, Joshua White being the regular guardian. /s/ W.
