TO ANY REGULAR MINISTER OF THE GOSPEL, OR JUSTICE OF THE PEACE, OF SAID COUNTY:
You, or any of you, are hereby authorized and licensed to celebrate and solemnize the * RITES OF MATRIMONY * between Ephrum A Delinger, son of John Delinger and Hannah Delinger, and Mary Thompson, daughter of ____ and _____ of said County, and join them together as MAN AND WIFE.
Witness, T W Robinson, Register of Deeds for said County at office in Lincolnton this 2 day of March in the ninety-93 year of American Independence, A.D, 1869.

Will of S.J. Dellinger

This will is dated the 6th of March 1895, added to on the 9th of August 1896 and probated on the 12th of February 1898:

"This my last will and testament I, S.J. Dellinger, being of sound mind do give and bequeath to my daughter, Margaret Frances and her heirs my home place on tract of land which I now live on and I do give to my son, James Henry McDowell, the tract of land that J.M. Dellinger bought of Alexander Moore, also 2 beds and 2 bedsteads and also his father's rifle gun and chest." S. J. Dellinger
attest:
T. J. Saunders "I want my son, Henry, to have $67. This is the mony that I received for the land that I sold of his tract. My hearts desire my hand and seal, August 9th 1896."

The actual will and codicill was handwritten by T.J. Saunders at her dictation. Mollie Beal was a witness to the writing of the will. A. F. Moore witnessed her signature.
