FUNERAL HELD FOR MAIDEN MAN

MAIDEN -- Funeral services were held Thursday morning at 11 o'clock
for Marion C. Laney, 70, who died at his home near here Wednesday
afternoon following a long illness. He is survived by his wife, who before
marriage was Miss Rhoda Lee, of Lincoln county, and the following
children: Hoyle, Oszoe, Bevely, Brown, John, Grady, Mrs. Jessie Turbyfill,
Mrs. Belton Burke, Maiden, and Mr. Ed. Caldwell, Harlen, Kentucky.
The services were held at Centerview Baptist Church conducted by the
pastor, Rev. Elley McClure, assisted by Rev. C.G. Ellis, Rev. Roy Williams
and Rev. S.A. Stroupe. Interment was in the church cemetery.
