HISTORY: | Elijah Boddie Perry (1789-1846) was the son of Joshua Perry (ca 1747-1807) and Mary Boddie (1771-1838; dau/of Nathan Boddie & Chloe Crudup). Joshua Perry was a soldier in the Revolutionary War who left a sizable estate in Franklin County in a will dated 1807, and shows returned to June Court 1811. Elijah had a very large plantation which apparently included several houses as indicated in his Will. Elijah was married in 1818 Warren Co. to Lucy Barker Williams (1798-1864; dau/of Henry Gustin Williams & Lucy Tunstall). His father, Joshua Perry, was the son of Joshua Perry (ca 1733-1792 Warren Co., NC) who was one of the original 7 Perry Brothers. The 7 Original Perry Brothers were:
