HISTORIC PLANTATION HOME OF THE THOMPSON FAMILY. FINISHED IN 1840 BY JOSEPH HIRAM THOMPSON. THE HOME IS LOCATED ON NC HWY 150 SOUTH IN THE COMMUNITY OF TYRO, SO NAMED BY THE THOMPSONS . MR. AND MRS/ GLENN SANFORD HAVE PURCHASED THE HOME AND RESTORING IT TO IT'S ORIGINAL GRANDUER. THE PROJECT IS NEARING COMPLETION. I HAVE LOTS OF HISTORIC INFORMATION IF YOU ARE INTERESTED.
