This is a picture of Thomas Dandridge Hilliard who fought and was killed in the Civl War. Thomas Dandridge Hilliard is on the left if you are facing picture. ( Hat is pulled down over face more) On his left is an unknown friend and I think that the single photo is his father ( Thomas Hilliard ) but not certain. He was killed May 19,1864. They fought a battle at Taylorsville, marched 60 miles in two days, fought the battle of the wilderness May 15,16,17,and was killed on the 19th. in the last charge of battle when they were over run and his body could not be recovered. I have his belongings including his gun which I will send a picture of also.
