Died In this town, Captain Charles Lapham, of the brig Dolphin, after a

Informs their customers and the public that they have removed their
store to the one formerly occupied by Mr James Lockwood, deceased, at
the S E corner of the New Market. They have on hand at the lowest
rate, for cash, an assortment of Dry Goods, and Wines of different
kinds, by quarter-cask or by retail which they warrant genuine. Also St
Ubes and Turks Island Salt. Malasses by the hogshead.

From the subscriber's plantation, last week, a Negro Fellow named
Allick. He is about five feet four inches high; about thirty years old,
or upwards; rather bow-kneed, but is very active and lively; speaks
good English and is plausible. He formerly belong to colonel Dudley, at
Fayetteville. Whoever apprehends the said fellow, and delivers him to
me at the Hermitage, shall have five dollars reward, besides what the
law allows, paid by

Notice is hereby given to all persons concerned, that Sarah E
McCalister and Richard Quince, jun. have obtained letters of
administration on the goods, chattels, &c of James McCalister, late
of Brunswick county, deceased. All persons indebted to said estate are
hereby required to make payment. And those who have claims against the
said estate are hereby required to present them to said administrators,
within the time limited by an act of assembly passed in the year 1789,
entitled, "An act concerning proving of Wills and granting letters of
administration and to prevent frauds in the management of intestates'
estates."

has qualified as an executor to the last will and testament of Mrs Mary
McCalister, late of Brunswick County, deceased. All persons indebted to
said estate are hereby required to make payment. And those who have
claims against the said estate are hereby required to present them to
the said executor, within the time limited by an act of assembly passed
in the year 1789, entitled, "An act concerning proving of Wills and
granting letters of administration and to prevent frauds in the

Mr Samuel Morgan of this place to Miss Elizabeth Torrins of
Duplin county, a young lady of the most gentle and engaging manners.
Died
Last week, Mr Thomas Davis, of this town - a gentleman universally
esteemed and much regretted. His remains were attended to the church by
a large assemblage of the members of the Wilmington Lodge of
Free-masons where the funeral service was performed and from thence to
the water side amidst a crowd of citizens of all ranks. From the wharf
the body was taken across the river, and conveyed to the place of
interment at Rock Hill.

Some time between the ninth and the eleventh of May last, my wife
Elizabeth thought proper to withdraw herself from my house. I therefore
give notice, to all persons whatever, that I will pay no debt which the
said Elizabeth shall contract after this date.

From Paris
Has the honour to inform the public that he has taken the store lately
occupied by Alexander Young, in mr James's house, where he intends to
carry on his business. Those who will favour him with their custom may
be assured that he will do his utmost to deserve their confidence: he
will warrant the watches repaired by him for twelve months.
He also offers to keep in good order and wind up, at the rate of four
dollars by the year the clocks of such subscribers as shall employ him.

Notice
The subscriber in addition to his advertisement in May 1792, give this
final notice to all those indebted to the estate of Wm Ewans, deceased,
to settle and pay up to him the amount of their respective accounts, on
or before the 1st day of July next, otherwise they will be sued without
respect of persons; the subscriber being anxious to have the affairs of
the said estate arrange in such a manner as to be ready for speedy
settlement after that date.

has obtained letters of administration upon the estate of Gherardi, dit
Guirard, deceased. Those who are indebted to said estate are hereby
requested to make immediate payment; and all persons having claims upon

vendue, in the town of Wilmington, the following lands, belonging to

640 acres on the forks of Long Creek, patented by Rufus Marsden, Esq,

360 acres on the north side of Long Creek, joining lines of John Swann
and Armand De Rossette, esqrs deceased &c.
On third of the purchase money to be paid immediately, and the credit
for the other two thirds to be made known at the time of sale.

Will be sold at public auction, on Saturday the 23d instant, at Mr
Pott's store, in the town of Smithville, to the highest bidder, for
ready money, a valuable Frame of a Boat, about thirty-four feet keel,
and fourteen feet beam, with timbers, beams, and plank sufficient to
complete her; also the greater part of bolts and nails are ready. The
timbers are of the first quality, and all of live oak and cedar. The
boat may be finished with very little expense to the purchaser.

Respectfully informs the public that he intends declining business in
the course of the summer on account of the many difficulties he is
obliged to encounter, occasioned by backward payments. He cannot pass
over in silence the gratitude he owes to those who punctuality has
hitherto been his support; and assures them that he shall not relax in
this endeavours to please during the short time he may continue in the
business.
Having no other object to detain him but that of collecting what monies
are due to him, in order to be enabled to make an honourable retreat,
he trusts that that consideration alone will operate with those
indebted to him, as a sufficient incentive to discharge their
respective accounts.

Tavern and Boarding-House
The subscriber takes the liberty of informing the public and his
friends that he has opened a House of Entertainment in that large and
commodious building lately occupied by mr Spaulding. Every attention
will be given, and the best provisions and choicest liquors provided.
From his knowledge and experience in the above line, added to the
encouragement he has received from a number of respectable inhabitants,
induce him to hope for a share of public favour; determined that
although he cannot command success, he will endeavour to deserve it.
Half a dozen gentlemen may be accommodated with board and lodging.

the name of the Old Court House, whereon mr Kennan Love lately lived.
It is a valuable plantation and well situated for a Tavern and Store.
