I am researching the descendants of David James Ray from Columbus Co.
His son, Joel Ray b. 1849 in Columbus Co, died 1932 in Wilmington. Joel's
and Martha Elizabeth Martin's (from Marion, SC)  children were: Serepta
Jane, Minnie Magdalene, Isaac Melton, Mamie Dawson, Lou Nettie and Florence
Elenora "Ella".
I have a great deal of information on the family but by no means all.
I would be interested in contact with any descendants of the Rev. David
James Ray or any other related family.
