Welcome to the Onslow County NCGenWeb site, a part of the national USGenWeb Project. Onslow County was formed in 1734 from New Hanover County and was named for Sir Arthur Onslow, speaker of the House of Commons in the British Parliament.
Onslow County is located in the southeastern part of the state and the county seat is Jacksonville. The neighboring counties are Carteret, Craven, Jones, Duplin & Pender. On this site you will find a variety of information & records that will hopefully assist you in your family history research.
Taneya Koonce is your county coordinator but this site would not be possible without YOUR submissions. Please consider contributing to the site.
Some of the items available on this site include:
-
-
- cemetery records and headstones picture galleries (for some) – thanks to our contributors
- a research guide to help you through the genealogical maze
- a bibliography of Onslow county related materials
-
Overall, this site relies on YOUR contributions, so please do contribute if you can.
