This is the Bible of George W. Bell of Pasquotank and is presently owned by his grandson, L. L. Winder of Elizabeth City, N.C.

  • George W. Bell and Sarah E. Smithson were married December 15, 1856
  • Frank W. Bell,  son of George and Sarah E. Bell was born Oct. 12, 1857
  • Frank W. Bell, son of George and Sarah E. Bell was born Jan. 19, 1859
  • Glendora Bell, daughter of George and Sarah E. Bell was born Dec. 15, 1860
  • George W. Bell, son of George and Sarah E. Bell was born Feb. 17, 1862
  • Charles H. Bell, son of George and Sarah E. Bell was born Sept. 1, 1863
  • Mary Elizabeth Bell, daughter of George and Sarah Bell was born Oct. 1, 1865
  • James H. Bell, son of George and Sarah Bell was born Mar. 22, 1864
  • John Walter Bell, son of George and Sarah Bell was born Feb. 5, 1869
  • J. Henry Bell, son of George and Sarah Bell was born Feb. 23, 1871
  • Margaret A. Bell, daughter of George and Sarah Bell was born June 13, 1874
  • Mattie Guirkin Bell was born February 3, 1869
  • Frank Bell, son of George and Sarah E. Bell, died Oct. 3, 1858

  • Mr. George W. Bell, well known citizen, died at 3:30 Friday morning in the 42nd year of his age – – –  interred in Old Hollywood Cemetery Saturday afternoon. Services were conducted by Rev. L. L. Williams.
  • George W. Bell, Jr. died about 35 years of age.
