The Last Will and Testament of<\/span><\/p>\n

JESSE PRITCHARD<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

November 6, 1880-May 21, 1881<\/span><\/p>\n

In the name of God Amen.<\/span><\/p>\n

I JESSE PRITCHARD<\/strong>, being at this time of sound and disposing mind and memory do make, publish and declare the following to be my Last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all others, herebefor made by me.<\/span><\/p>\n

I<\/b>: I give and bequeath to my Three Daughters ELIZA, LYDIA and MARGARET A. PRITCHARD<\/strong> my tract of land known as the Sexton Field<\/i>, to be equally divided with them, should any of them die without lawful issue, to be divided with the surviving.<\/span><\/p>\n

II<\/b>: I give and bequeath to my Son JOHN W. PRITCHARD<\/strong> that part of my home tract of land known as the New Ground<\/i> and also the woodland adjoining it up to the lead ditch.<\/span><\/p>\n

III<\/b>: I give and bequeath to my beloved Wife CLARKEY<\/strong> the balance of my house tract her natural life and then to my Son JOHN W. PRITCHARD<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

IV<\/b>: I give and bequeath to my beloved Wife CLARKEY <\/strong>all the rest and residue of my estate of whatever kind and value.<\/span><\/p>\n

V<\/b>: I nominate and appoint my Son JOHN W. PRITCHARD<\/strong> to be the executor of this my Last Will and Testament, Nov. 6th<\/sup> 1880.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pasquotank County In Probate Court May 21st<\/sup> day AD 1881.<\/span><\/p>\n

A Paper writing purporting to be the Last Will and Testament of JESSE PRITCHARD<\/strong> & this day offered in Open Court for Probate in ????? by JOHN W. PRITCHARD<\/strong> the executor therin named. Where and when personally appeared Wm B. Pritchard and Henry M. Pritchard, the subscribing witnesses thereto, who on oath and examination say and each for himself saith that at the request of the testator JESSE PRITCHARD<\/strong> and in his presence and in the presence of each other they signed their names as subscribing witnesses thereto the said testator first having signed the same which he then and there declared to be his Last Will and Testament, further that at the time of the aforesaid witnessing thereof the testator was of sound and disposing mind and memory. It is therefore adjudged that the said paper writing and every part thereof is the Last Will and Testament of JESSE PRITCHARD<\/strong> and the same is ordered to be recorded and together with the evidence taken herein filed.<\/span><\/p>\n
