THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT <\/span>

\nCORNELUIS FOREHAND<\/span><\/strong>
\nFebruary 24, 1727<\/span><\/p>\n

In ye name of God Amen ye twenty forth day of February in ye year of our lord\u00a0<\/span>1727. I CORNELUIS FOREHAND<\/strong> of Northest parish of Pasqutank being very sick and\u00a0<\/span>weak in body but of perfect mind and memory Thanks be given unto God therefore\u00a0<\/span>calling unto mind ye mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for\u00a0<\/span>all men once to die do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament that is\u00a0<\/span>to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul into ye hands\u00a0<\/span>of God that gave it and for my body I recommend it to ye earth to be buried as\u00a0<\/span>touching such worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this\u00a0<\/span>life I give devise and dispose of the same in the following maner and form .<\/span><\/p>\n

Imprimis. I give and bequeath to ELIZATH<\/strong> my dearly beloved Wife one bed and <\/span>
\nfurniture together with all my household goods and moveables.<\/span><\/p>\n

Item. I give to my well be loved Son JOHN FOREHAND<\/strong> my gun one cowe name ming\u00a0<\/span>(?) with all her increes<\/span><\/p>\n

Item. I give to my well be loved Son CORNELUIS FOREHAND<\/strong> fifty eakers of <\/span>
\nland at ye head of my land jining to AMES<\/strong>(?) line<\/span><\/p>\n

Item. I give to my well be loved Son JAMES FOREHAND<\/strong> my dwelling plantasion <\/span>with fifty eakers of land belonging to it and one cow named trumpet.<\/span><\/p>\n

Item. I give to my well beloved Dafter ELIABETH FOREHAND<\/strong> one cow <\/span>named ????? and a date chare(?)<\/span><\/p>\n

Item. I give to my well be loved Son THOMAS FOREHAND<\/strong> two cows ???? to my <\/span>
\nwell beloved Son RICHARD FOREHAND<\/strong> one cowe<\/span><\/p>\n

I give to my well be loved Dafter MARY FOREHAND<\/strong> (nothing left to her)<\/span><\/p>\n

Item. I give to my well beloved Wife ELIZABETH FOREHAND<\/strong> whom I likewise <\/span>constitute make and ordain my only and sole Executor of this my Last Will and <\/span>Testament. All & Rest of my eastate by having to be possessed and enjoyed and <\/span>I do hereby utterly disan(torn) revoke and disanul all and every other former <\/span>(torn) testaments Wills and confirming this and no other to be my Last Will <\/span>and Testament in witness (torn) I have here unto set my hand and seal ye day <\/span>and year above written.<\/span><\/p>\n
