THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\u201cPIERRE\u201d PETER FOURRE<\/span><\/strong>
\nAugust 6, 1697<\/span><\/p>\n

In the name of God the Father, Sonne, & Holy Ghost<\/span><\/p>\n

I PETER FOURRE<\/strong> of the County aforesd being now in perfect sence & memory <\/span>though ??firme & sick in my body, considering de certainty of death & not <\/span>
\nnowing the time & hour thereof have made appointed & declared this my Last <\/span>
\nWill & Testament this 6th day of Agust 1697 as follows——<\/span><\/p>\n

Imprimis. I recommend & give my Soul unto the mercifull hands of my Lord & <\/span>Saviour Jesus Christ & appoint my body to be decently interred at the <\/span>discretion of my excor. After named firmly believing & hoping the resurrection <\/span>reuniting of my ?? Soul through the meritt of our Lord & Saviour & of my <\/span>worldly & temporal estate which God hath given me I will & dispose as follows.<\/span><\/p>\n

2ly. I give & bequeath unto my loving Wife my lands & livings & all Iam <\/span>ponen(?) with all during her life time——<\/span><\/p>\n

3ly. And after her decease I give & bequeath my plantation & land & what <\/span>belong to it unto my Sonne JOHN FOURRE<\/strong> & for the movables within & without the <\/span>door that shall be left after my Wife\u2019s decease to be divided as followeth.<\/span><\/p>\n

4ly I give my Daughter NICHOLE<\/strong> one shiling<\/span><\/p>\n

5ly I give unto my Daughter MARGUERIT<\/strong> one shiling<\/span><\/p>\n

6ly I give unto my Daughter MARY<\/strong> one haffer of about three years old<\/span><\/p>\n

7ly If JOHN FOURRE<\/strong> my Sonne should die without heirs then my plantation & <\/span>land belongin to it should fall unto my Daughter ESTER FOURRE<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lastly I will & appoint CATHERINE FOURRE<\/strong> my beloved Wife above named <\/span>my Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament witness my hand & seal this\u00a0<\/span>6th of Agust 1697<\/span><\/p>\n
