February 25, 1755<\/span><\/p>\n

North Carolina Pasquotank County<\/span><\/p>\n

I PHILLIP TORKSEY<\/strong> being very\u00a0<\/span>sick and weak of body but of perfet sence and memory thanks be to God for it <\/span>do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in maner form as followeth <\/span>that is to say first I recominend my soul to God that gave it and my body to <\/span>the earth to be buried at the descreution of my Exect. Hereafter mentioned.<\/span><\/p>\n

Itom. I give and bequeth to my beloved Brother ——TORKSEY<\/strong> one two year old <\/span>hefer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Itom. I give and bequeth to my beloved Brother JOHN TORKSEY<\/strong> one two year old <\/span>
\nheiffer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Itom. I give and bequith to my beloved Cosen MAIGIL<\/strong>(?) REED<\/strong>(?) one negro boy <\/span>Daniel at the decese of my Wife to her and her haire for ever.<\/span><\/p>\n

Itom. I give and bequeth to my well beloved Wife (blacked out) of my estate <\/span>both rail and pal???.<\/span><\/p>\n

And I appint and ordain my beloved Wife ELIZEBETH<\/strong> to be my whole and sole <\/span>Executor of this my Last Will and Testament and do utterly disannul all other <\/span>Wills by me made and acknowledge this to be my Last Will and Testament as <\/span>witness my hand and seal this twenty fifth day of Feb. 1755.<\/span>

Then appeared <\/span>ELIZABETH TORKSEY <\/strong>Executrix and duly qualified as the said ???? that the <\/span>Honorable Henry McCullock(?) Esq. Secretary Notary(?) that letters ????<\/span><\/p>\n
