In the name of God, amen, May the 4th, 1791 —-<\/span><\/p>\n

I, Thomas Russell<\/strong> of Pasquotank County State of No. Carolina being very sick and <\/span>weak of body but of Perfect mind and Memory thanks be to God for the same and <\/span>calling to mind the Mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for\u00a0<\/span>all men once to Die do make and ordain this my last will and Testament, that is\u00a0<\/span>to say Principally and fist of all I give and Recomend my Soul into the hands\u00a0<\/span>of God that Gave it for my body I Recomend it to the Earth to be Buried in a\u00a0<\/span>Christian like manner at the Discretion of my Executor here-after mentioned and\u00a0<\/span>as Touching Such Worldly Goods Where-with it hat Pleased God to Bless me with\u00a0<\/span>in this life. I give Divise and Despose of the Same in Manner and form following\u00a0<\/span>that is to Say, —–<\/span><\/p>\n

In the first place my will and desire is that the land and plantation whereon I\u00a0<\/span>now live, Should be Sold into Publick Venue(?) for Six months Credett to pay my\u00a0<\/span>Just Debts and after all my Just Debts be paid, my will is all the Remainder of\u00a0<\/span>my Estate of what Nature or Kind Forever be Equally Divided Between my Beloved\u00a0<\/span>wife Elizabeth Russell<\/strong> and my two Children, John Russell<\/strong> and Mary Russell<\/strong> to\u00a0<\/span>them and their Heirs forever. ——-<\/span><\/p>\n

And Lastly I do Nominate and appoint Joseph Rolfe<\/strong> my whole & Sole Executor to\u00a0<\/span>this my Last will & Testament in Witness Whereof I have hereunto Let my hand<\/span>

The Last Will and Testament of Thomas Russell<\/strong> decd. was Exhibited in open Court\u00a0<\/span>by Joseph Rolfe<\/strong> the Executor ____ named and proved by the oath of Joseph Redding<\/strong>,\u00a0<\/span>Esq. asubscribing witness is thereto who said Thomas Russell<\/strong> and Vititer Galioco<\/strong>(?)\u00a0<\/span>signed as concerning xxxxxx witness and at the same time appeared tis Executor and\u00a0<\/span>was qualified agreeable to Law, ordered to be recorded ______ ____ — Jos. (Mark?)\u00a0<\/span>Rolfe, Clerk<\/span><\/p>\n
