{"id":275,"date":"2012-04-22T01:58:11","date_gmt":"2012-04-22T05:58:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ncgenweb.us\/pender\/?p=275"},"modified":"2012-04-22T01:58:11","modified_gmt":"2012-04-22T05:58:11","slug":"lee-lloyd-haywood-1997","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ncgenweb.us\/pender\/lee-lloyd-haywood-1997\/","title":{"rendered":"LEE, Lloyd Haywood (1997)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"center\"><strong>Lloyd Haywood Lee,<\/strong> 62, of Washington, died Tuesday morning, April 15, while attending a business meeting in Raleigh.\u00a0 Lee was born Sept. 2, 1934 in Pender County, the son of the late <strong>Lonzie Haywood Lee<\/strong> and <strong>Gertrude Costin Lee<\/strong>.\u00a0 He was a graduate of East Carolina University and a veteran of the U.S. Army.\u00a0 Lee was employed with the Electric Membership Corp. for 40 years.\u00a0 He worked in several North Carolina locations during his tenure in various capacities, including Red Springs-Lumber River E.M.C., Burgaw-Four County E.M.C., Carteret-Craven E.M.C., Morehead City. At the time of his death, he was the general manager of Tideland E.M.C. in Pantego.
