He was one of the early Justices in Perq, serving for years, in that capacity. He is called Steward, or Judge, in the Justice Court Apl 1689.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Capt Ralph Fletcher, had grt for land 370a on Perq River, \u201cat the mouth of a Swamp\u201d adj Jenkins Williams, May 15, 1694.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium\">In an affidavit, made in Chowan Co 1694, he stated that he was b 1632. It is thought that these Fletchers came from Surry Co Va, although no positive proof can be found. Hannibal Fletcher was living in sd Co very early. His wife Elizabeth came to Va, in Primrose of London, 1635, &amp; he is spoken of as \u201cHannibal Fletcher of Chippoakes Creek.\u201d (Surry Co Records.)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Hannah Fletcher was transported to Va, in Middleton, by Capt Adam Thorogood, 1634. Whose wife she was is not shown. Sons: Ralph (2) to whom he bequeathed (\u201cmy manner house, &amp; plan\u2019 \u201d) George, (\u201cmy lower house, &amp; plan\u201d) Sons: James, &amp; Joshua, Dau\u2019s Jane, &amp; Elizabeth.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Elizabeth Fletcher, wife of Ralph, died Jany 21, 1690-1700.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Ralph Fletcher, had also a dau Margaret, who m Thomas Harvey, Jan 27, 1701.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Ralph Fletcher Jr m Jane Morgan (d of James, &amp; Jean) Mch 2, 1698-9, issue: 1 Ralph (3) b April 22, 1703\u20142 George b June 15, 1705\u20143 Joshua b Nov 5, 1718.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium\">The Rent Roll of Perq, prior to 1700, shows that Ralph Fletcher possessed 300a in said County.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Ralph Fletcher (3) m Mary Guyer, Dec 23, 1728, issue: 1 Ralph (4) b Feby \u2014, 1729-30 &amp; son Joshua, (age not in Reg.)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium\">His will Perq Co, p July 1752. Sons: Ralph, (to whom he left \u201cmy manner plan\u2019 \u201d) Joshua, dau\u2019s Jane\u2019 Miriam, Ruth Fletcher, Mary Ratcliff, (wife of Joseph), wife Mary.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium\">George Fletcher (s of Ralph, &amp; Elizabeth, (Sutton) m Susanna Burtonshall (d of Richard, &amp; Priscilla) Feby 17, 1701.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Ralph Fletcher (4) will Perq, p July 1785. Son Jesse, d Miriam Newbold, d Margaret, s Joshua, &amp; William Skinner Exrs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium\">William Fletcher, will Perq, p Feby 1827, names brother Zachariah, Winney Harrell\u2019s children, Samuel, Francis, Margaret, Ann, &amp; Sarah Nixon Fletcher, sister Margaret White (wife of Aaron) uncle William Jones.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium\">James H. Fletcher, will Perq p Feby 1830, names sister Nancy Skinner, sister Jane Fletcher, wife Grizzell, Exx.
