In the name of God Amen I Joshua White<\/strong> of the County\u00a0of Perquimans and State of N Carolina being at this\u00a0____ ____ of lazy but of sound and disposing mind Thanks\u00a0as to God for the ____\u00a0____\u00a0____\u00a0and ordain this writing to\u00a0<\/span>confirm my last Will and Testament in manner and form as\u00a0follows<\/span><\/p>\n

First I give devise and bequeath unto my beloved wife\u00a0Emily White<\/strong> all the property that s____ by him to her & her\u00a0heirs forever. I also leave to the use of her all the lands together with all the buildings where I now live except the\u00a0<\/span>Roundtree lands also the field called the back deading\u00a0beginning at a gate and running along a big ditch to the\u00a0East end of ____\u00a0field including all that is ditched round\u00a0on the right hand side as ____\u00a0 ____\u00a0together with my house<\/span>hold & \u00a0____\u00a0____\u00a0____\u00a0____\u00a0during her natural life or widowhood\u00a0____\u00a0____ to the use of my beloved wife my riding Carriage ____\u00a0____\u00a0________and gray roan sorrel during her life or\u00a0widowhood I also give to her one hundred pounds Corn & fivethousand pounds fodder two thousand pounds Pork one hundred pounds Sugar fifty pounds Coffee also two Sows & pig to her\u00a0& her heirs forever I also leave to her use one yoke of oxen and\u00a0<\/span>her Control ____\u00a0 ____\u00a0during her life or widowhood.<\/span><\/p>\n

Secondly I give\u00a0devise and bequeath unto my son Joshua W White<\/strong> (Joshua Warren White) all my\u00a0lands at Bagleys Swamp together with all that I have\u00a0heretofore possessed him with to him and his heirs forever.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thirdly I give devise and bequeath unto my daughter Milicent Pearce<\/strong> all my Rountree lands and at the death or marriage of my wife Emily White<\/strong> the plantation whereon I now live\u00a0by her paying to Mary A Winslow<\/strong> Five Hundred dollars to her& her heirs forever.<\/span><\/p>\n

4th I give devise and bequeath unto grandson\u00a0Charles Willis Pearce<\/strong> all the remaining part of my Cyprus lands\u00a0and at the death or mariage of my beloved wife for him to have\u00a0that portion given to her by his paying over Five Hundred Dollars\u00a0to my daughter Mary A Winslow<\/strong> to him his heirs and assigns\u00a0forever.<\/span><\/p>\n

5thly\u00a0I give devise and bequeath unto my daughter Mary\u00a0A Winslow<\/strong> one note that I hold against her of One Thousand\u00a0Dollars to be paid by my daughter Milicent Pearce<\/strong> & my grandson Charles Willis Pearce<\/strong> that is to say Five Hundred each\u00a0and all that I have heretofore possessed her with to her & his\u00a0heirs & assigns forever.<\/span><\/p>\n

6thly I give devise and bequeath unto my\u00a0three grandchildren namely Sallie Twine<\/strong>, Cornelia F. White<\/strong> &\u00a0Joseph Judson White<\/strong> Fifteen Hundred Dollars to be equally divided between them on condition that I have nothing to pay\u00a0<\/span>for their father Jos R White<\/strong> dec’d to them their heirs and assigns forever.<\/span><\/p>\n

7thly I give devise and bequeath unto my daughter Martha<\/strong> (or Marsha) Jane\u00a0Cooper<\/strong> ____\u00a0____to her her heirs and assigns forever.<\/span><\/p>\n

8thly I give\u00a0devise and bequeath the remaining part of my Estate at the death or\u00a0marriage of my beloved wife Emily to my three children namely\u00a0<\/span>Joshua Warren White<\/strong>, Mary A Winslow<\/strong> & Milicent Pearce<\/strong> to them\u00a0their heirs and assigns forever.<\/span><\/p>\n

9thly & lastly I nominate constitute and\u00a0appoint my son Joshua W White<\/strong> my whole and only ____\u00a0to this my last Will & Testament desiring him to see the same\u00a0fully executed & performed.<\/span><\/p>\n
