THOMAS HOLLOWELL<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

1772<\/span><\/p>\n

North Carolina Pequris, County. Know all men by these presents that I Thomas\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>Hollowell<\/strong> of the place aforesaid farmer do make and ordain these presents to\u00a0<\/span>be and contain my last will and testament for the disposal of such worldly\u00a0<\/span>estate wherewith it hath pleased god to bless me with in this life in the\u00a0<\/span>following manner and forme. Viz.<\/span><\/p>\n

First I will that all my just debts an contracts be paid out of my estate in <\/span>covennent time after my decease.<\/span><\/p>\n

Item I leave the use of my plantation land and improvements where I now live <\/span>to my well beloved wife Sarah Hollowell<\/strong> duering her natril life and the <\/span>prevelig for her stock dureing her widdowhood in my land at Little River which <\/span>I bought of Thomas Nicholson<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Item I give to Thomas Haskit<\/strong> son of William the land plantation and <\/span>improvements where I now dwell with a parsil of woodland and joyning thereto <\/span>which I bought of Richard Chesson<\/em> to him and the heirs lawfully begotten of <\/span>his body<\/span><\/p>\n

I give the before mentioned land to John Haskit<\/strong> son of William<\/strong> to him and the <\/span>heirs lawfully begotten of his body forever.<\/span><\/p>\n

Item I give to Silas Haskit<\/strong> son of William<\/strong> my lands plantation and <\/span>improvements which I bought of Thomas Nicholson<\/em> at Little River to him and the <\/span>heirs lawfully begotten of his boody forever and for want of such heirs of his <\/span>body as aforesaid I give the before mentioned land to John Haskit<\/strong> son of <\/span>William<\/strong> to him and the heirs of his boody lawfully begotten forever.<\/span><\/p>\n

Item I leave the use of the remaining part of my … land lying in the thee <\/span>grand forke above Moses Bundy<\/em> to my wife Sarah Hollowell<\/strong> dureing her naturil <\/span>life.<\/span><\/p>\n

Item I give the before mentioned piece of land to John Haskit<\/strong> son of Wm. <\/strong><\/span>Hasket<\/strong> to him and the heirs of his boddy lawfully begotten forever.<\/span><\/p>\n

Item I give Thomas Haskit<\/strong> son of William my Negro girl named Huldah to him <\/span>and the heirs of his body lawfully begotten forever if he should dye without <\/span>such issue it is my will that the above mentioned Negro girl should return to <\/span>John Hasket<\/strong> son of William<\/strong> to him and his heirs forever.<\/span><\/p>\n

Item I give to my wife Sarah Hollowell<\/strong> my Negro woman Candis Negro boys James <\/span>and Jacob and Negro girl Hannah to her and her disposal.<\/span><\/p>\n

Item I leave the use of the labor of my other three Negroes David, Jonah and <\/span>Aron to my wife Sarah Hollowell<\/strong> until the said Negroes arive to the age of <\/span>thirty one years.<\/span><\/p>\n

Item I give my Negro men David and Jonah to Thomas Hasket<\/strong> son of William<\/strong> to\u00a0<\/span>him and the heirs of his body lawfully begotten forever but if he should dy <\/span>without such issue it is my will that the same Negro boys should return to <\/span>John Hasket<\/strong> to him and the heirs of his body lawfully begotten forever.<\/span><\/p>\n

Item I give my Negro boy Aaron to Silas Hasket<\/strong> son of William<\/strong> to him and the <\/span>heirs of his body forever lawfully begotton forever. But if he should dye <\/span>without such heirs of his boddy.<\/span><\/p>\n

Item I give the above mentioned Negro boy to John Hasket<\/strong> son of William<\/strong> to Him <\/span>and the heirs of his body lawfully begotten forever.<\/span><\/p>\n

Item I give to my wife Sarah Hollowell<\/strong> my old Negro woman named Jane to her <\/span>and her disposal.<\/span><\/p>\n

Item I give to Rachal Wilson<\/strong>, wife of Jacob<\/strong> my book of Tucks History.<\/span><\/p>\n

Item I give my cousin Thos. Hollowell<\/strong>, son of John<\/strong> one large Foher Bible and <\/span>Robert Barkleys Apolige after my wifes decease.<\/span><\/p>\n

Item I give to Thomas<\/strong> … .<\/span><\/p>\n

Item I give all the rest of my estate of all kinds whatsoever to my wife Sarah <\/strong><\/span>Hollowell<\/strong> to her and her disposal.<\/span><\/p>\n

Item I leave John Haskit<\/strong> son of William<\/strong> as an appointed guardian to my slaves <\/span>hereby disposed to see that they are well sett by.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lastly I do hereby nominate constitute and apoint my loving wife Sarah <\/strong><\/span>Hollowell<\/strong> Execetrix and friend John Hasket<\/strong> and Matthew<\/strong> and Thomas Hasket<\/strong> <\/span>Executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking and disallowing <\/span>all and every other former will or wills legacies bequeath made before this <\/span>time by me names willed bequeathed rattefying and confirming this and no other <\/span>to be my last will and testament this tenth day ye 4 mo. commonly called April <\/span>one thousand seven hundred seventy two. <\/span><\/p>\n

Signed sealled published and pronounced and declared by the said Thomas <\/strong><\/span>Hollowell<\/strong> to be his last will and testament in presents of us Peter Pearson<\/strong>, <\/span>Mary White<\/strong>, William Pearson<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n
