1. JOHN1 ROSCOE was born Abt. 1794, and died Aft. 1870. He married LUCINDA "LUCY" CLARK. Notes for JOHN ROSCOE: John Rascoe was born about 1794 and died after 1870. I do not know for sure who his parents were. Some say he was a son of an earlier John Rasco or perhaps James Rasco or Alexander Rasco. A James and John Rasgo appears in the 1790 census of the Cheraw Dist. (Marlboro County) S.C. The name seems to have gotten changed from Rasco to Roscoe about the time of the War Between the States.
