Died in the vicinity of Laurel Hill, Richmond county, N.C., on Saturday night, the 20th instant, Mrs. Catharine McLaurin, wife of Hugh McLaurin, in the 80th year of her age. Her complaint, though severe, and of several months continuance, was borne by her with a quiet and humble submission to the ever-ruling dispensations of providence. In all her relations of life, she was kind and affectionate, and resigning her soul to a merciful and benignant God, she fell calmly asleep in death.
