Carolina Richmond County Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions, January Term 1847 Lucretia Henry vs. Reuben Henry, William Henry, Jesse Henry, Wilson Henry, Jesse Segoe and wife Eliza, James Arrington and wife Jenny, William Knotts and Marinda his wife, Lotty Henry, Elijah Henry, Patsey Henry, Caroline Henry, Berry Henry and Riley Henry Petition for Dower It appearing to the satisfaction of the court, that Riley Henry resides beyond the limits of this State: it is therefore ordered by the court, that publication be made for six consecutive weeks in the Fayetteville Observer, for said Riley Henry to be and appear before the Justices of our next Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions, to be held for the Courty of Richmond, at the Court House in Rockingham, on the 3rd Monday in April next, then and there to plead, answer or demur to said petition, otherwise judgment pro confesso will be taken against him, and the cause set for hearing and heard ex parte, as to him.
