2. REUBEN2 NORTON (MARTIN1) was born Abt. 1802 in NC, and died April 13, 1880 in Richmond County, NC. He married ELIZABETH (LIZZIE) NORTON September 28, 1865 in Richmond County, NC. She was born 1801 in NC. Notes for REUBEN NORTON: Reuben was the executor of Starling Rachels (d. 1864 in Civil War at Wilderness VA ). Reuben Norton m. abt. 28 September 1865, Elizabeth Norton. John D. Currie, J. P. (Rich. Co. Marr. Bonds) Children of Sterling Rachels: William, John, Sterling, Sarah and Betsy (Elizabeth?). Sarah married a Scott, and Betsy married a Norton (perhaps of Marlboro County, S.C.) (Richmond Co.
