Forest City, Nov.25- Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at the First Broad Bapt. church for
MRS. NANCY M. JONES, 92, who died at her home in the Golden Valley community following
a short illness. Burial was in the church cemetery.
MRS. JONES was familiarly known to her friends as " Aunt Lissa". She was born April 15,
1845. She married WILLIAM JONES in 1868 and to this union were born 8 children,
5 of whom survive, along with 38 grandchildren. MRS. JONES joined the Baptist
church at the age of 12. Oct. 6, she attended the funeral of an only sister, MRS. FRONIE BLANKENSHIP, who
died at the age of 85. MRS. JONES husband and 3 of their children died a number
of years ago. |
