Earl, Nov. 12- Funeral services were held Sunday morning
for PICKNEY ROLLINS CAMP, at New Hope church in the presence of a
host of sorrowing relatives and friends. He was in the yard at
his home dressing fish for lunch Saturday and died suddenly. His death was a
shock to the entire
community.
MR. CAMP was 69 years old. He joined Pleasant Hill Baptist church in early manhood and later moved
his membership to New Hope, where he had been a member for 38 years.
MR. CAMP was married to MISS GEORGIA WHITE, Oct. 16, 1890 at Grover, N.C. Surviving are his widow
and six children; MARION, Shelby, MRS. SID HELMS, Gastonia, PAUL and HERBERT CAMP, Charlotte, M.H. CAMP,Grover, VERNON CAMP, Taylors, S.C.
There are
15 grandchildren and one great grandchild, also 2 brothers,
M.G. CAMP, Hickory and EDNEY CAMP, Patterson Springs, N.C. and one half
sister, MRS. TOM CAMP, Patterson Springs. MR. CAMP was a prominent
farmer of this community.
