All information is accessible and free, and copy machines are \u00a0available for a reasonable charge. Danbury is about 20 miles north of Winston-Salem \u00a0by NC highway 8, and about 20 miles south of Stuart VA by VA 8 (same highway). \u00a0Deeds available online (Click Here<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The Gypsy Hollingsworth History Room houses census records, cemetary records, marriage records, County Heritage books (Book I and II for Stokes County), individual family histories, will and deed abstracts, Civil War and \u00a0Revolutionary War records. Microfilm consists of Danbury Reporter (misc. to 1945), marriage bonds, some census records and the iron works. A microfilm reader without a printer is available. Copy machine is available at the front desk. The Danbury library is on the main road on the west side of town. If you’re coming from Walnut Cove go through the old part of Danbury. It’s about a mile from the center of town, on the right just before you get to the new county courthouse.<\/p>\n
