Martha J. Boyles, nee Browder was born Sept 6, 1840, died Feb 1, 1907, aged 66 years, 4 months and 25 days. She leaves two children, Mrs. Susan R. Roberts and W.R. Boyles, 15 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a large number of relatives and friends to mourn their loss. She was a professor of religion for about 40 years, first a member of Mt. Olive Baptist church, but joined the M.E. church at Chestnut Grove about 11 years ago. She lived a consistent Christian life for many years, and was a kind good mother and grandmother, a good obliging neighbor. She will be missed by many, but especially by her children and grandchildren. She was buried at Chestnut Grove church.<\/p>\n
